WHY WE NEED TO FUNDRAISE

AVM Support UK is dependent on voluntary fund-raised income. Although we do receive funding to enable us to  develop new services, the maintainance of our services is reliant primarily on donations and fundraising events.

We need to raise money to maintain and expand our work helping people whose lives have been affected by the condition Arteriovenous Malformation.

In particular we need money to pay for our:

• Helpline: which provides information and emotional support.
• Information Service: which provides much needed information to all those affected by the condition.  
• Support Network: which provides emotional and physical support to those in need.
• Online Meeting Services: enabling users the opportunity to speak to others who have been affected by this rare condition and allowing them to share their experiences with others by removing the geographical barriers . 
• Public Policy Awareness: campaigning to improve awareness of the condition by lobbying members of parliament, providing statistical analysis to establish need.
• Programme to promote awareness:  both medical and social, to take forward our understanding of the condition.
